This painting was inspired by the Adelaide Parklands during the festival months. The beautiful plane trees are lit up by fairy lights and there is a wonderful glow of energy that seems to be buzzing at this time of year. But behind this beauty, there is a hidden story.
Silhouettes of Kangaroos hide in the shadows, symbolising the animal life that used to thrive in these lands before we colonised the land. In the centre of the colourful energetic glow are the faint white shadows of two people sitting and sharing each others company, also symbolising the people that used to love this land and thrive here before colonists arrived. This artwork reflects beauty in all forms, from the present and the past.
